To Orwell Today,
re: BLUE WILLOW DISHES POEM

I have another version of the Blue Willow poem to share with you as taught to me by my grandparents:

GD Display

There were two birds a flying high
A China ship a passing by
A China house see there it stands
As fine as any in the land
And if you look a little closer
You will see three men if not four
An apple tree with apples on
And a bridge beneath the sun

Greetings Serenyi,

Thanks for sharing your grandparents' version of the Blue Willow poem, which I put under one of my Blue Willow plates.

All the best,

To Orwell Today,

Hello Jackie,

Thank you so much for your reply. Was not sure if my email had gotten through. I will be most interested to see if anyone else knows our version.

Best regards,
Leslie Serenyi

PS - After reading some of the other Blue Willow poems on your home page, something jogged my memory and I remembered two more lines of the poem. Here are the revisions - the third and fourth lines to add: A China house see there it stands, As fine as any in the land

Greetings Leslie,

Thanks - I added those to your original.

All the best,
Jackie Jura
