To Orwell Today,
re: BLUE WILLOW DISHES POEM

Hi,

I just came across your website on Blue Willow. I was going to see if you could help me find out more about mine. My grandma is 95 years old and gave me a set that my grandpa got her back in World War 2. It is an eight place setting. And all I know is that it is about 70 or 80 years old. I can't find much more about it. But God I would love to know.

Hope to hear from you,
Chrissy Whitman

Greetings Chrissy,

There's a website you can go to that has patterns of BLUE WILLOW dishes going back to 1780. You can probably find yours there: LOVERS OF BLUE & WHITE

I love reciting my grandmother's Blue Willow poem whenever I use my set of dishes:

GD Typewriter

Two birds flying high
a little ship sailing by
a Chinese castle here it stands
facing many, many lands
a little bridge with three men on
a willow tree, that ends my song

All the best,
Jackie Jura
