How was the numerical code generated? How did the A get numerical code 6?

A= 6, B= 12?

Greetings Sujith,

A reader originally sent the code in, ie the "KISSINGER'S NUMBER IS 666" article.

Then another reader used the same code (which he said was Greek in origin) to find "NEW YORK'S NUMBER IS 666".

Then most recently (and I'm just publishing it for the first time now at the same time as I publish your email) a reader sent in two more adding up to 666, ie MONETARY and BUSH-BIN LADEN.

I don't know how the number "6" was chosen originally as the starter number and also as the increment number, but perhaps it's because the goal is three "6s" and so it seemed a good number to play with. Go figure.
