I just finished reading "The Handmaid’s Tale", and I was wondering if you have a list of other distopias you recommend reading?

I have never read "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood but I've expressed my thoughts about the book to an earlier reader. Since then I've rented the video and found it very boring.

The most recent dystopian movie I've watched, and would recommend, is THE ISLAND. I have the book it was based on, ie THE EXPERIMENT by John Darnton, although I haven't had a chance to read it yet. Other dystopian movies I recommend, just off the top of my head, are THEY LIVE and GATTACA.
