JFK ON COMMIE CONQUEST OF CHINA

JFK spoke out strongly against Communist China all through his political career -- one of his most powerful speeches when he was a recently elected Representative from Massachusetts in 1949, fresh back from the war and wanting an investigation into why the USA government helped the Communists come to power in China.

Fourteen years later JFK was still speaking out against Communist China -- this time on national television during his last press conference given one week before he died in Dallas.

And Communist China was the ONLY major nation on the planet that sent no words of condolence to the USA upon news of JFK's death. See the following scans of my copy of Canadian newspaper coverage on Saturday, November 23rd, 1963.

Communist China, like Martin Luther King, laughed and joked about JFK's assassination, as told by Schlesinger in his 1965 book A THOUSAND DAYS about John F Kennedy in the White House. Schlesinger is also the person to whom Jackie gave her exclusive 1964 interviews which daughter Caroline compiled into a book and tape recordings of those conversations in 2011. JOHN F KENNEDY ON THE LOSS OF CHINA
speech in Salem, Massachusetts, January 30, 1949

"Over these past few days we have learned the extent of the disasters befalling China and the United States. Our relationship with China since the end of the Second World War has been a tragic one, and it is of the utmost importance that we search out and spotlight those who must bear the responsibility for our present predicament.... In 1944 General "Vinegar Joe" Stilwell presented a plan to arm 1,000,000 Chinese Communists, who had been carefully building their resources in preparation for a post-war seizure of power, and with them to capture Shanghai and clear the Yangtze. This plan was supported by some State Department officials, including Ambassador Clarence Gauss. Chiang Kai-shek refused to cooperate with this plan, which would have presented the Chinese Communists with an easy coup. Chiang requested that Stilwell be recalled, which caused such bitter comment in this country; and Gauss resigned. From this date our relations with the National Government declined. At the Yalta Conference in 1945 a sick Roosevelt, with the advice of General Marshall and other Chiefs of Staff, gave the Kurile Islands as well as the control of various strategic Chinese ports, such as Port Arthur and Dairen, to the Soviet Union. According to former Ambassador Bullitt, in Life magazine in 1948, "Whatever share of the responsibility was Roosevelt's and whatever share was Marshall's, the vital interest of the United States in the independent integrity of China was sacrificed, and the foundation was laid for the present tragic situation in the Far East....

PRESIDENT KENNEDY'S 64th PRESS CONFERENCE -- HIS LAST
November 14, 1963
JFKPressConference

Question: Mr Kennedy, what are the pre-requisites or conditions for resumption of some form of trade with Red China?

JFK Answer: We're not planning to trade with Red China in view of the policy that Red China pursues. When the Red Chinese indicate a desire to live at peace with the United States and other countries surrounding it, then quite obviously the United States would re-appraise its policy. We're not wedded to a policy of hostility to Red China. It seems to me Red China's policies are what create the tension between -- not only the United States and Red China -- but between Red China and India; between Red China and her immediate neighbour to the south -- and even between Red China and other Communist countries..."

CHINESE IGNORE DALLAS TRAGEDY
JFKdeathnewsChina JFKnewsChina

Peking: The assassination of President Kennedy went completely unnoticed here this morning. The news came too late for morning papers but early-morning news broadcasts ignored the news, too. In answer to questions the foreign ministry said its reaction to the news would be made known when it was available. Kennedy's death is unlikely to cause much sorrow among Communist Chinese or cause a halt to continuous attacks...

TEXT OF ADDRESS OF PRIME MINISTER PEARSON OF CANADA
JFKeulogyCanada
HE WAS A MAN OF COURAGE IN WAR AND IN PEACE

"...The world can ill afford his loss. That loss through assassination is one of the great tragedies of history. But for us, now, it is something more. It is a great heart-breaking personal tragedy. And there are millions of people tonight who throughout the world will feel that they have lost a friend. President Kennedy was young. He was a man of courage in war and in peace. He devoted himself to public service. He worked unselfishly for the public good as he saw it. He has paid for his public service with his life. For the president it was death on duty. When a free man falls courageously in action, all freedom grieves, but courage is made easier for others...

Tributes from Many Countries

The tragic flash from Dallas reverberated around the world like a clap of thunder. The young, vigorous president of the United States was dead at the hands of an assassin and everywhere the great and the lowly mourned John F Kennedy's passing. The deadening shock gave way to tears and then to universal heartache for Jacqueline Kennedy and her two young children. Rich and poor, black and white, shuddered and were bewildered. Messages of condolences poured into the White House from presidents, premiers and crowned heads. Churches filled with people come to pray and sob....
