GADDAFI GREEN SQUARE SPEECH TO WORLD

GaddafiHeadscarf

To Orwell Today,

Hi Jackie,

I am sending you another Libya article -- this one has made me just weep.

watch & listen to Gaddafi radio-broadcast speech at
Pro-Gaddafi Demonstration in Green Square, Tripoli
July 1, 2011, by Veritas, Libya 360

Cheers,
Sharon

Greetings Sharon,

Thanks a million for sending that excellent article with the wonderful YouTubes of Gaddafi's radio speech to the millions of Libyans gathered in Green Square, Tripoli and elsewhere in Libya on July 1st, 2011. I wept too when I watched the crowd listening to their "guide" and "Brother Leader" speak. His words are so inspiring and so full of common sense and love for his people.

I read the subtitles and wish I had the time to transcribe it word for word, but until then, people will hopefully read, watch and listen on their own to the videos.

The intro to the videos says:

Every Libyan town came out on the streets to show their anger at NATO's aggression and show support for Qadhafi who has lost a son and 3 grandchildren in one of NATO's bombings. Millions of people in various parts of the country were out on the streets despite the dangers posed by NATO bombings. Gaddafi's speech has been misquoted by many news outlets, saying that Qadhafi was threatening civilians in Europe when in fact he was speaking hypothetically saying that one day the Libyan people could, if they wanted, repay in kind those who have made Libyan homes, offices and children a legitimate military target. But he advocated that it is better to stop the aggression and return to normality to avoid disaster. The speech was directed to NATO'S leaders and not to civilians. Sadly, American Secretary of State Hillary Clinton repeated the same misinterpretations propagated by the media.

Gaddafi Radio Speech (with subtitles), Green Square, Tripoli, July 1, 2011, You Tube, Part 1 and Part 2 and Part 3

By the time of that speech -- July 1st, 2011 -- the UN had been barbarically bombing Libyans for three-and-a-half months already - and as I write this -- September 3, 2011 -- the bombing is still going on. More than 7,500 bombs have been dropped on Libya and uknown thousands of Libyans have been killed -- although BIG BROTHER is blaming the deaths on Gaddafi loyalists, not UN bombs. According to UN "doublethink" their bombs "protect", not "kill".

When Gaddafi made that Green Square speech, he still held out hope that the civilized nations of the Western World -- the ones doing all the bombing -- would come to their senses and stop the barbarity. Gaddafi had pinned so much hope on the West, having welcomed them back into Libya after reconciling all their differences. Gaddafi knew that we, the people of the so-called "free capitalist" West, have no say in what our governments do and in that we're no different than the people of the "enslaved communist" East. The superpowers of the UN Security Council -- Russia, China, and USA/UK -- had authorized the bombing of his "democratically socialist" nation -- the only country on the planet with such a form of government "of, by and for the people".

But the six million people who make up the population of Libya -- even if every single one of them took up arms to fight against the UN-backed Islamic-fundamentalist al-Qaeda terrorist 'rebels' on the ground -- don't have a chance against the massive high-tech bombs falling from the 20,000 warplane missions so far.

Libya has been destroyed -- except for its oil and water pipelines which amazingly escaped unscathed except for minor damage easily repaired (the UN super-powers plan to take control of the oil and water -- for their own benefit -- so ordered they not be bombed). But all government buildings, homes, businesses, schools, hospitals and other infrastructure have been bombed to smithereens and plundered. Libya is hell on earth right now -- with no electricity, food or water. People and animals are suffering pain, hunger and thirst.

I wish I'd known about Libya and Gaddafi before this war happened -- because I'd have visited there when in Africa if I had, instead of just flying over and taking pictures:

Africa Goodbye Flyover Libya

I had hope, at first, that Gaddafi and the Libyan people would somehow miraculously win, but that hope is almost gone. I don't know if Gaddafi is still alive -- or if the recent radio broadcasts are really him. Deep down I feel he IS still alive because the thought of him dead is almost too much to contemplate. I love him now like the Libyan people love him.

The photo of Gaddafi that was in the upper right corner of the videos of his Green Square speech on July 1st, 2011 is the same one I have on the door to my ORWELL TODAY office. I put it there five months ago, when I first learned the truth about Gaddafi, as a way of keeping him and the Libyan people close to my heart and in my thoughts continually.

The newspaper article on my office door is from June 9th, 2011, showing the bombing of Gaddafi's residential compound. It points out the contradictions between what UN says it's doing in Libya -- ie protecting civilians -- and what it's REALLY doing -- ie KILLING civilians, including the April 30th, 2011 bombing to death of Gaddafi's son and three of his granchildren. Below are photos of Gaddafi in his brown robes:

Over the years I've worn my "Gaddafi Outfit" to summer parties and to multi-culturalism festivities down at the park on Canada's birthday -- July 1st -- which is also the day Gaddafi made that historical Green Square speech. From now on it will be a ritual I do every year in respect for Gaddafi and the Libyan people. I still hope some day to visit Libya -- but only if Gaddafi is living there -- and when I do I'll wear my "Gaddafi Outfit" everywhere.

All the best,
Jackie Jura
