To Orwell Today,
re: Reader Joseph says "American Pie" song not about communist takeover
Hi Jackie,
With reference to another letter to you on the subject, isn't it strange how some folks live in a dream world, just like ORWELL tried to warn us and we didn't comprehend. Maybe the truth is too obvious. Like I've been trying to get the message across about ORWELL'S 1984 for years to friends and aquaintances and it's only now that they seem to have awoke to the reality, though they're only at the start of the journey. David Icke refers to this as a dreamworld and I don't think he's far wrong. With the banks becoming more or less nationalised and the CHANGE word used as a means to keep things just the same with the USA having 1000 overseas bases and the troops being withdrawn from Iraq and side stepped into Afghanistan; with torture still commonplace in policy although it's not available for public comment or open to debate.
So this song has a hidden meaning - and even I can see this now - ha ha. So much is hidden in the lyrics, as they say.
Take good care,
Ray Wills

Greetings Ray,
Thanks for letting me know that finally - after all these years - you too can see the hidden meaning in the "American Pie" lyrics. It helps, of course, that events in America are making it much more obvious to even the naked eye that evil, satanic, communist forces are at play.
All the best,
Jackie Jura
