Obama Emanuel

The chief power-broker of the Democrat Party,
the 5-and-a-half foot, foul-mouthed Israeli named Rahm Emanuel,
is the son of a terrorist - a real living terrorist.
Rahm was an Israeli citizen until he was 18 years old,
when for obvious reasons he hid his Israeli passport....
In 1991, however, he pulled his Israeli passport out and went and reportedly
joined the Israeli Army to defend Zion from Saddam's Scuds.

ORWELLIAN EMANUEL IN WHITE HOUSE

Emanuel's position as Chief of Staff has raised concerns among those looking for
an even-handed approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In an interview with the Israeli daily Ma'ariv, Emanuel's father was quoted as saying:
"Obviously he will influence the president to be pro-Israel.
Why wouldn't he? What is he, an Arab?
He's not going to clean the floors of the White House."

To Orwell Today,

This is possibly just a silly observation, but Obama's pick for Chief of Staff is Rahm Emanuel and in "1984" there was an Emmanuel. Strange.

-Palehorse

Greetings Palehorse,

Now that you mention it, it IS kind of strange - and Orwellian - that there's an "Emanuel" as Chief of Staff to the President of the USA. In "1984" the leader of Big Brother was "Emmanuel Goldstein" and his rulers were members of the Brotherhood (as in Big Brother's little brothers). See EMANUEL GOLDSTEIN CONSPIRACY IN 1984.

This present-day Emmanuel Goldstein (Rahm Emanuel) is, according to what's been written about him, a puppet-maker - having been the force behind William Clinton (a nobody governor from Arkansas) becoming president back in 1993 and now he's the power-broker behind Barack Obama (a nobody senator from Illinois) becoming president in 2009.

All the best,
Jackie Jura

Obama's First Pick a Pro-Israel Jew
Islam On Line, Nov 7, 2008

CAIRO — Two days after his historic election as America's first black president, Barack Obama picked up a pro-Israel Jew as his White House chief of staff. Illinois Rep. Rahm Emanuel was selected as Obama's chief of staff, becoming the first senior level official to join the nascent administration. "I announce this appointment first because the Chief of Staff is central to the ability of a President and Administration to accomplish an agenda," Obama said on Thursday, November 6. "And no one I know is better at getting things done than Rahm Emanuel."

Emanuel was a political and policy aide in former President Bill Clinton's administration. Born in Chicago in 1959, Emanuel is the son of an Israeli immigrant, Benjamin Emanuel. His first name "Rahm" means "high" in Hebrew and his last name, "Emanuel" means "God is with us".

Emanuel's father is a pediatrician and a former member of the Irgun, a Zionist militia of former prime minister Menachem Begin, which carried out a series of terrorist attacks against Arabs in Palestine in the 1940s. On April 18, 1948, Palestinian Tiberius was captured by Begin's Irgun militant group, putting its 5,500 Palestinian residents in flight. On April 22, Haifa fell to the Zionist militants and 70,000 Palestinians fled. On April 25, Irgun began bombarding civilian sectors of Jaffa, terrifying the 750,000 inhabitants into panicky flight. On May 14, the day before the creation of Israel, Jaffa completely surrendered to the much better-equipped Zionist militants and only about 4,500 of its population remained.

Dubbed as "Rahmbo" by US media, Emanuel, a father of three, is known for his tough and aggressive style in the political arena. He began his political career, initially specializing in fundraising campaigns in 1980s. He then became the director of the finance committee of then-Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton presidential primary campaign. When Clinton was elected president, Emanuel became a senior adviser to the Democratic president from 1993 to 1998.

After Clinton left office, Emanuel turned to investment banking before being elected to the House of Representatives. In 2002, Emanuel supported the Bush administration's plans to invade Iraq to topple the Saddam Hussein regime. In 2006, he was appointed to serve as Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Under his leadership, the Democrats gained 30 seats in the House of Representatives, allowing them to gain control of the House after 12 years of Republican control. In 2007, he was elected to serve as the Democratic Caucus Chair, the fourth highest ranking Member of the House Democratic Leadership. Emanuel is a strong supporter of American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), and personally introduced Obama to the group's directors during the 2008 presidential campaign.

In 1991, Emanuel volunteered to serve in Israel's army during the first Gulf War. He has been a vocal critic of the Palestinian intifada against the Israeli occupation, criticizing Arab countries for not pressuring the Palestinians to stop "violence". At a 2003 pro-Israel rally in Chicago, Emanuel said Israel was ready for peace but would not get there until Palestinians "turn away from the path of terror". Emanuel's selection has prompted positive headlines in Israel, where some were concerned earlier in the election campaign about the likely direction of Obama's Middle East policy.

In his White House post, Emanuel is likely to emerge as a key player in implementing Obama's agenda, which includes foreign policy, health care, energy and tax reform and efforts to tackle climate change. Some US Observers have portrayed Emanuel as the "bad cop" to Obama's "good cop".

Battering Rahm: Democrat attack dog
Guardian, Nov 8, 2008

Barack Obama's first appointment - his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel - has a reputation as a colourful, aggressive and often profane partisan Democrat who likes to win and knows how.

• "I'm an equal opportunity prick to everybody" As Democratic congressional leader, on relations with his party, reported in The Argument, a book by New York Times reporter by Matt Bai

• In the summer of 2005, as reported in The Argument, Emanuel was nettled by suggestions that Democrats stick to a "positive" message. "I have my knee on their vertebrae," the one-time Israeli army volunteer said of the Republicans, "and I'm not going to let up until I hear the vertebrae snap."

• The night the Democrats retook the House of Representatives in 2006, according to Salon.com writer Edward McClelland, Emanuel stood on a table and addressed the exhausted staff with a message for the Republicans: "They can go fuck themselves!"

• After Bill Clinton's first election to the White House in 1992, talk at one meal turned to Republicans, journalists and disloyal Democrats upon whom they were now in a position to exact revenge. According to New York Times reporter Elizabeth Bumiller, Emanuel shouted the name of an enemy and stabbed a steak knife into the table. "Dead!" he screamed.

• As head of the party arm charged with recruiting and electing candidates, he was known to end fundraising calls with the oath: "Fuck you. I love you."

• Emanuel's position has raised concerns among those looking for an even-handed approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In an interview with the Israeli daily Ma'ariv, Emanuel's father was quoted as saying: "Obviously he will influence the president to be pro-Israel. Why wouldn't he be? What is he, an Arab? He's not going to clean the floors of the White House." The comments raised immediate protests.

Rahm Emanuel - Son Of A Zionist Terrorist
by Christopher Bollyn, Rense, Nov 7, 2008

The new "golden boy" of the Democrat Party, the Israeli-American congressman Rahm Emanuel, is the son of a terrorist. Really, I am not making this up, the chief power-broker of the Democrat Party, the 5-and-a-half foot foul-mouthed Israeli named Rahm, is the son of terrorist - a real living terrorist. So, what do we do as citizens of the land of the free and the home of the brave fighting the War on Terror? Do we run and hide from the foul-mouthed little Israeli who danced ballet and swears for effect - or do we laugh? Or do we demand answers? How can we respect a U.S. Congressman who served in a foreign army and whose father was a terrorist? Rahm was an Israeli citizen until he was 18 years old, when for obvious reasons he hid his Israeli passport in his underwear drawer. In 1991, however, he pulled his Israeli passport out and went and reportedly joined the Israeli Army to defend Zion from Saddam's Scuds...

"I said before the election that if the Democrats win the House, the lion's share of the credit should go to Rahm," says Rep. Ray LaHood, an Illinois Republican. "He legitimately can be called the golden boy of the Democratic Party today. He recruited the right candidates, found the money and funded them, and provided issues for them. Rahm did what no one else could do in seven cycles...."

Obama new Chief of Staff has Alaskan Roots (Not Liked by Sarah Palin)
by Jake Tapper, ABC, Oct 1, 2010
The low-key Pete Rouse, whom President Obama will name chief of staff on an interim basis later this morning, has at least one high-profile detractor: former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Palin has suggested that Rouse was one of the driving forces behind attacks against her. In Palin’s Going Rogue, she writes on a period when “a group from the Republican Governors Association traveled north to warn us that I was being 'Emanuelized' or 'Thumped.' As evidence, they pointed to a book called The Thumpin': How Rahm Emanuel and the Democrats Learned to Be Ruthless and Ended the Republican Revolution. It's the story of how the Illinois congressman, now President Obama's chief of staff, had crafted and executed the ruthless 2006 campaign strategy that won back Congress for the Democrats. The RGA told us that Alaska was being given the 'Chicago treatment'”. Continued Palin: "Their arguments fit the bill. Those who have seen this before traced the ethics attacks back to the period when I was being vetted for the vice presidential slot and also linked them to the partisan investigation known in the media as 'Troopergate'.

Walt Monegan knew that I was well within my rights to remove him, and in normal times it would have been a nonissue, but a few days later, the troopers' union and a group of Democrats with close ties to a senior adviser to the Obama campaign, Pete Rouse, then Senator Obama's chief of staff, were demanding an investigation.” Added the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, "Rouse had lived in Alaska many years before, returning only on a couple of occasions over the last decade. Yet, somehow, though he actually resides on the East Coast, and has for years, he still votes in Alaska through a voter registration address in Main Street in Juneau -- an address once shared by Alaska State Senator Kim Elton on voter rolls. Elton, who played a key role in advancing the Monegan issue as a ginned-up 'scandal,' has since moved to Washington and joined the Obama interior department as director of Alaska affairs.” Palin also suggested that then-Sen. Obama lifted the incredibly common campaign theme of “change” from her gubernatorial campaign. “Every part of our campaign shouted 'Change!'” she wrote. “We were amused a couple of years later when Barack Obama, one of whose senior advisers (come to think of it) had roots in Alaska -- adopted the same theme.”... After Rouse was mentioned as a potential replacement for Emanuel, Palin tweeted: “Alaska's Pete Rouse (@ least he claims to be ‘Alaska’) finally comes out of the shadows; Obama looks to appt him COS; strange doings in the WH.” She added: “(Rahm's the smart one...bailing before Nov) Now, check out possible COS Pete Rouse. His background, voter reg in AK,etc. It's a small world.”

After Palin resigned her governorship, Palin adviser Meg Stapleton told TIME that attacks against the governor and her family were from the White House. "A lot of this comes from Washington, D.C. The trail is pretty direct and pretty obvious to us," Stapleton told the magazine, alluding to The Thumpin'. "It's the Sarah Palin playbook. It's how they operate.” The magazine wrote that “Palin and her Alaska circle find evidence for their suspicions about the White House in the person of Pete Rouse, who lived in Juneau for a time before he became chief of staff to a young U.S. Senator named Barack Obama. Rouse, they note, is a friend of former Alaska state senator Kim Elton, who pushed the first ethics investigation of Palin, examining her controversial firing of the state's public-safety commissioner. Both Rouse and Elton have joined the Obama Administration.” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs told TIME that “the charge is ridiculous. Obviously there is no effort ... From my vantage point, a lot of the criticism she is getting from others seems to be generated from self-inflicted wounds."

Emanuel given dead Asian carp as farewell gift (resigned as Obama Chief of Staff to run for mayor of Chicago)
by Andrew Hough, Telegraph, Oct 1, 2010
Mr Emanuel, one of the most contentious and powerful members of the president's inner circle, was replaced by Pete Rouse, 64, currently a senior adviser to the president who has been with Mr Obama since he became a senator in 2005. He was a key presence on the presidential campaign. But before Mr Emanuel's departure on Friday, first reported by The Daily Telegraph in June, was formally confirmed at the White House he was given a special farewell from colleagues - a dead Asian carp fish complete with newspaper wrapping. A tearful Mr Emanuel was given the gift by Austan Goolsbee, the Council of Economic Advisers chairman. The gift, wrapped in copies of the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune, was in reference to a well publicised story on Mr Obama's key aide. Mr Emanuel once reportedly sent a pollster he had fallen out with the same gift – as a warning never to cross him again. The incident was later repeated in The West Wing, an award-winning American political drama, starring Bradley Whitford as White House deputy chief of staff Josh Lyman, whose character was said to be inspired by Mr Emanuel. The specific species give to him on Friday was a reference to his focus on the aggressive, invasive Asian carp, bane of the Great Lakes, a plankton-devouring creature heading towards Chicago. “I talked to the policy team and we wanted to give you a going away present—something to show how we feel about you but also shows we understand your new possibilities," Mr Goolsbee told ABC News, the American broadcaster. "I was the natural go between — I voted for you all three times you ran for Congress and even in that first primary. So here is your present.” In the West Wing episode Lyman, whose character was deputy chief of staff to Martin Sheen, who played president Jed Bartlet, sent a dead fish to an enemy - only in his case it was a congressman, rather than a pollster. When he reads a Washington Post profile of him which tells how he sent the congressman a rotting fish in the post, he asks his assistant, Donna, if she was the source. On Friday Mr Emanuel fronted a press conference at the White House, with Mr Obama and Mr Rouse, where the American president accepted the resignation of his "incomparable" chief of staff. In contrast to the abrasive, foul-mouthed Mr Emanuel, Mr Rouse is considered a popular, calming influence within the White House capable of bringing disparate views together. He also has excellent contacts in Congress, where he worked for 20 years and became known as the "101st senator" for his intimate knowledge of the institution's workings.... Mr Obama could not resist poking fun at Emanuel's reputation as a rare political bruiser who has spawned a rich trove of lore. "A couple of years ago...I pointed out that Rahm, when he was a kid, had lost part of his finger in an accident, and it was his middle finger, so it rendered him mute for a while!" Then turning the spotlight on Mr Rouse, Mr Obama quipped: "Pete has never seen a microphone or a TV camera that he likes." Mr Emanuel also spoke in warm personal terms of the president saying he had seen Obama's heart break, "when he writes a letter to parents whose son or daughter has been lost on the field of honour.

Obama's mad science advisers Emanuel & Holdren, Washington Times, Aug 17, 2009
When it comes to having past views that should frighten every American citizen, Ezekiel Emanuel has nothing on the president's "chief science adviser," John P. Holdren. The combination of Mr. Holdren with Dr. Emanuel should make the public seriously concerned with this administration's moral compass concerning care for the old and weak. Earlier this month, Mr. Holdren served as co-chairman when the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology met for the first time. It's a disgrace that Mr. Holdren is even on the council. In "Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment," a book he co-authored in 1977 with noted doomsayers Paul R. and Anne H. Erlich, Mr. Holdren wrote: "Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society." In case compulsory abortion wasn't enough to diffuse his imaginary population bomb, Mr. Holdren and the Erlichs considered other extremist measures. "A program of sterilizing women after their second or third child, despite the relatively greater difficulty of the operation than vasectomy, might be easier to implement than trying to sterilize men," they wrote. "The development of a long-term sterilizing capsule that could be implanted under the skin and removed when pregnancy is desired opens additional possibilities for coercive fertility control." It gets worse. The Holdren-Erlich book also promotes "Adding a sterilant to drinking water or staple foods." After noting that, well, yes, there were "very difficult political, legal and social questions, to say nothing of the technical problems," Mr. Holdren and his co-authors express hope that their idea may still be viable. "To be acceptable, such a substance would have to meet some rather stiff requirements," they wrote. "It must be uniformly effective, despite widely varying doses received by individuals, and despite varying degrees of fertility and sensitivity among individuals; it must be free of dangerous or unpleasant side effects; and it must have no effect on members of the opposite sex, children, old people, pets or livestock." Most Americans can be forgiven for thinking that mass sterilization through drinking water is never acceptable and that someone who supported such horrors should have no place on a prestigious White House council. The question naturally arises why President Obama chooses to surround himself with extremists like Mr. Holdren or Dr. Emanuel. No matter how much they claim their views have "evolved," health and science under Obamacare would be a frightening prospect with people like this advising the president.

Ezekiel Emanuel, Obama's "Doctor Death"?, Salon, Aug 10, 2009
Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel, special advisor for healthcare at the Office of Management and Budget, speaks at the American Medical Association's annual conference at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Like Sarah Palin said last week, if you're old, sick or disabled -- or have a friend or loved one who is -- you should be very wary of Democratic healthcare plans. And, too, you should keep an eye on "the Orwellian thinking of the president’s health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of the White House chief of staff." This is, after all, one of the two advisors to President Obama dubbed "deadly doctors" by the New York Post, a man also known as "Doctor Death," who, as conservative blogger Gateway Pundit explained, "supports euthanasia ... [and] believe[s] medical care should be reserved for non-disabled 'participating' members of society." It's become a growing theme on the right: "Obamacare" will mean mandatory euthanasia for your grandmother in order to save money, and the person who created the ideological underpinnings for that policy is the brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel....

Palin Leghold Trap ORWELLIAN MEDIA MASSACRED SARAH

Obama White House 'dirty tricks' torpedoed Palin (chief-of-staff Emanuel's tactics of personal destruction). The Times, Jul 12, 2009
...Among the many explanations for her abrupt departure....the theory put forward by her spokeswoman, Meg Stapleton, is that members of Obama’s White House are to blame. Palin, 45, complained in her resignation speech on July 3 that she was being hounded constantly by "frivolous” ethics complaints. "This [is] political absurdity, the politics of personal destruction", she said...Stapleton told Time magazine last week: "A lot of this comes from Washington DC....Kim Elton, the Alaska state senator who chaired the legislative council, is a friend of Peter Rouse, Obama’s former Senate chief of staff, who used to live in Juneau, the capital of Alaska. Rouse now serves as a senior adviser to Obama at the White House and Elton was appointed director of Alaska affairs at the US Department of the Interior in March. Palin made no secret of her irritation at the alleged reward, saying Elton "pledged his allegiance to Obama last summer". She is convinced Obama’s team had a hand in the Troopergate operation.... According to Stapleton, the barrage of ethics charges against Palin was typical of the hardball tactics of Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s combative chief of staff, as described in the book The Thumpin’, about how Emanuel steered the Democrats to victory in the 2006 congressional elections. "It’s how they operate" Stapleton said....

Obama confidante Emanuel reins in profanity (2nd most powerful in man in country). New York Times, Jan 25, 2009
Early this month, Barack Obama was meeting with the House speaker, Nancy Pelosi, and other lawmakers when Rahm Emanuel, his chief of staff, began nervously cracking a knuckle. Mr. Obama then turned to complain to Mr. Emanuel about his noisy habit. At which point, Mr. Emanuel held the offending knuckle up to Mr. Obama’s left ear and, like an annoying little brother, snapped off a few special cracks. The episode, confirmed by Mr. Emanuel’s office, underscores some essential truths about Mr. Emanuel: He is brash, has a deep comfort level with his new boss, and has been ever-present at Mr. Obama’s side of late, in meetings, on podiums and in photographs. There he was, standing at President Obama’s desk in one of the first Oval Office pictures; and again, playfully thumbing his nose at his former House colleagues during the inauguration; there he was, accompanying the president to a meeting with Congressional leaders on Friday. Mr. Emanuel is arguably the second most powerful man in the country and, just a few days into his tenure, already one of the highest-profile chiefs of staff in recent memory. He starred in his own Mad magazine cartoon, won the “Your New Obama Hottie” contest on Gawker.com and has become something of a paparazzi icon around Washington....

Emanuel director Freddie Mac during scandal. ABC, Nov 8, 2008
President-elect Barack Obama's newly appointed chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, served on the board of directors of the federal mortgage firm Freddie Mac at a time when scandal was brewing at the troubled agency and the board failed to spot "red flags," according to government reports reviewed by ABCNews.com. According to a complaint later filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Freddie Mac, known formally as the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, misreported profits by billions of dollars in order to deceive investors between the years 2000 and 2002. Emanuel was not named in the SEC complaint but the entire board was later accused by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) of having "failed in its duty to follow up on matters brought to its attention."....The actions by Freddie Mac are cited by some economists as the beginning of the country's economic meltdown. The federal government this year was forced to take over Freddie Mac and a sister federal mortgage agency, Fannie Mae, pledging at least $200 billion in public funds. Freddie Mac records have been subpoenaed by the Justice Department as part of its investigation of the suspect accounting procedures. Emanuel was named to the Freddie Mac board by President Bill Clinton in 2000 and resigned his position when he ran for Congress in May, 2001.

Israel Terror First Terrorists, Daily Mail, Sep 29, 2003
Anyone in Palestine after World War II would clearly remember that hundreds of British lives were taken by Jewish terrorists between 1945 and 1948. After the announcement in 1947 that Britain intended to abandon Palestine, terror tactics were used on the Arab population. This campaign began with people sticking intimidating warning notices on Arab homes. On December 13, 1947, terrorists lobbed two hand grenades into a crowd of Arab shoppers at the Damascas Gate bus stop, killing six and wounding 40. This was the start of a campaign of violence against Arabs which spread to more than 400 Palestinian towns and villages. In the small hours of January 5, 1948, the Haganah, a Jewish terrorist movement, bombed the Semiramis Hotel, killing 26 Christians. Two days later the Irgun, another Jewish terror group, killed 17 Arabs waiting for a bus at Jaffa Gate. The violence on both sides escalated, but the most horrific catastrophe came on April 8 (a month before the British withdrew) when a day of rape, savage brutality and murder took place leaving more than 100 Palestinian men, women and children dead at the Arab village of Deir Yassin.
