OBAMA - PRIZE ROOSTER
(Next for Obama, the Pulitzer Prize)

Thomas was a chicken farmer; his farm was dedicated to the fertilized egg business. In his farmyard, Thomas had 450 young hens to lay the eggs. Incidentally, at this stage the female hens are called 'pullets'. Now to fertilise the eggs, which the pullets laid, Thomas had 12 male birds called roosters. The farmer kept careful records, and any rooster that didn't perform went straight into the cooking pot and a replacement was introduced. Thomas found this task time consuming, so he bought a dozen tiny bells and attached one to each of his roosters. Cunningly, each bell had a different ring tone so Thomas could tell from the comfort of his porch, which rooster was performing.

So now Thomas could sit on his rocking chair and tick the boxes on his efficiency report simply by listening to the bells. The farmer's favourite rooster was Obama, a very fine specimen he was, too. But on this particular morning Thomas noticed Obama's bell hadn't rung at all. Thomas went to investigate. The other roosters were chasing pullets, their bells-a-ringing. The pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover. But to Farmer Thomas's amazement, Obama had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.

Thomas was so proud of Obama, he entered him in the Worcester County Fair and he became an overnight sensation among the judges. The result... The judges not only awarded Obama the No Bell Piece Prize, but also they awarded him the Pulletsurprise!

Greetings Mike,

Thanks for sending that hilarious piece on the peace prize and no, I hadn't seen it. Giving a Big Brother (Orwell's name for the United Nations) peace prize to O-bomb-a - who's dropping bombs on civilians all over the world - and sending thousands more USA soldiers to fight wars against innocent nations of no threat to America's interests or security - is a prime doublethink example of what Orwell meant by "War is Peace".

All the best,

Obama Peace Prize win has some Americans asking why?
by Michelle Nichols, Reuters, Oct 9, 2009
U.S. President Barack Obama's selection as winner of the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday left many Americans puzzled about why he deserved the honor. "It would be wonderful if I could think why he won," said Claire Sprague, 82, a retired English professor as she walked her dog in Manhattan's Greenwich Village. "They wanted to give him an honor I guess but I can't think what for." Hospital worker Itya Silverio, 33, of Brooklyn, said: "My first opinion is that he got it because he's black. What did he do that was so great? He hasn't even finished office yet." Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, who won the prize in 2002, said Obama's win showed hope he had inspired globally. "It is a bold statement of international support for his vision and commitment to peace and harmony in international relations," Carter said in a statement. Some Americans resented Obama's popularity in Europe and other parts of the world. "Obama gives speeches trashing his own country and he gets a prize for it," said conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh, who has a wide following....

Question: Can obama win a Pultzer Prize for promising to write an essay?
Answer: Yes he can, it seems that way.
Yahoo Answers!, Oct 2009
You must be one of those mean Conservatives my teachers warned me about!!! Obama deserves this prize. It's not his fault he hasn't done anything yet. Why should that stop him from being recognized for great accomplishment? Maybe he'll do something in the future! You're just jealous because Obama has had so much good luck. For starters, he got into the Illinois Senate because he got his opponents kicked off the ballots. That is stupendous luck. It's like playing chess and your opponent is dead. Then he got into the Senate because he had the greatest luck of all: he ran against Alan Keyes, someone who sends shivers down the spine of anyone who isn't insane. Sure, he didn't pass any important legislation, but that's probably because the other Senators were really mean like you. Then he got to be President because his opponent was old, unlikeable, and not black. Wow, that's like a triple punch. Obama sure is lucky to be mulatto. Now he's gotten the Nobel Peace Prize, and you are green with jealousy. Sure, maybe Obama hasn't done anything substantive, but should we hold that against him? Shouldn't he continue this incredible string of luck unabated? It would be cruel to insist he actually be judged on merit now. Besides, I like this idea of getting rewarded and not having to actually do anything. Basically, Obama got this award because he thought and spoke about peace. If this is how it works, I should be getting my PhD in gynecology any day now!!!!

Obama won Nobel Peace prize on dog's birthday
Dog Time, Oct 11, 2009
We're a little late with this, but the First Puppy turned one year old on Friday, the same day President Obama was named winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Guess which event was more important to his daughters, Malia and Sasha. Friday morning, Malia made sure the president was well aware of the occasion. "Malia came in and said, 'Daddy, you own the Nobel Peace Prize, and it's Bo's birthday,'" Obama told reporters gathered at the White House Rose Garden. "Then Sasha added, 'Plus, we have a three-day weekend coming up!'" Happy birthday, Bo.

NOTE from JJ:  Is this supposed to be the Obama version of JFK's daughter Caroline running into JFK's bedroom on the morning after the 1960 election and waking him up saying "Good Morning Mr President"?

NOTE:  Is it also Obama's attempt to copy JFK by having his children's pets made famous like Caroline's pony Macaroni?

NOTE:  It's symbolic that Obama got the dog from Senator Ted Kennedy (JFK's only surviving brother who must not have known about Obama's commie mentor who dedicated a book to Bobby Kennedy's alleged assassin). See OBAMA PAL TRASHES CAMELOT

NOTE:  Symbolic also is Obama's dog pissing and crapping on Air Force One (and probably in JFK's Rose Garden). A story on Oct 17, 2009 reported that "Bo is certainly the talk of the town in Washington D.C. this week! Rumor has it that he needed to relieve himself mid-flight and couldn’t wait for touchdown! While the White House says “No” to the scoop on the poop, many insiders say absolutely, “Yes!” Wonder if Bo is the first First Dog to answer nature's call on Air Force One? We may never know since Air Force policy is to never discuss the activities of their passengers (human or otherwise)". I wonder what JFK (who designed AF-One when he was president, and Jackie decorated) would think. See PATRIOT SWINDAL JFK AF-1 PILOT

Did the First Dog Leave a Number Two on Air Force One?
by Elizabeth Williamson, Wall Street Journal, Oct 7, 2009
The mystery begins in a Pittsburgh bar where several high-flying airline types met last month. The group swapped stories over drinks when three people present let loose with a good tale. Bo, the presidential puppy, recently left a present on the presidential jet, they said, and a flight attendant had nearly stepped in it. “You can imagine the horror on board when they discovered what it had done,” a participant in the conversation said, referring to Bo. Reports of other puppy-like behavior support the story. At least two reporters spotted Bo running loose aboard Air Force One this summer. News stories say he chews socks, magazines and the presidential sneakers. In an NBC television interview around the time of the alleged accident, President Barack Obama said Bo has chosen notable venues in the past. “We go out and we’re walking and I’m picking up poop, and in the background is the beautifully lit White House,” the president said. “It’s quite a moment.” A White House press official was certain the scoop on the poop was a crock. The press office checked with the Air Force One flight crew who said Bo had not desecrated the jet.

Other big news beckoned: the health-care overhaul, rising unemployment and a debate over the war in Afghanistan. But we were nagged by a question — was the pile denial a White House cover up? The source of the story refused to recant. A press officer for the 89th Airlift Wing, which includes Air Force One, had no comment. A government airline carpet contractor didn’t return calls. Then a new source emerged: Herb McConnell, former public affairs officer for Andrews Air Force Base, home of Air Force One. McConnell thought the story was “funny,” “logical,” and “not as bad as some I’ve heard.” According to McConnell, he checked with two contacts in the 89th Airlift Wing. Both separately confirmed Bo’s youthful indiscretion, although neither of them would speak directly with Washington Wire. “Of course the dog accident on Air Force One happened,” McConnell contends. But the 89th won’t go public with it, he said, because it is strict Air Force policy not to discuss passengers’ activities. The White House stands by its denial. And Bo isn’t talking.

Obama's peace prize starts a fight. The Times Video Report, Oct 10, 2009
Gasps echoed through the Nobel Hall in Oslo yesterday as Barack Obama was unveiled as the winner of the 2009 Peace Prize, sparking a global outpouring of incredulity and praise in unequal measure. Mr Obama was sound asleep in the White House when the Norwegian Nobel Committee made the shock announcement. It said that he was being honoured for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples". In a clear swipe at his predecessor, George W. Bush, the committee praised the "change in the international climate" that the President had brought, along with his cherished goal of ridding the world of nuclear weapons. "Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future", it added.

International reaction ranged from delight to disbelief. The former winners Kofi Annan and Desmond Tutu voiced praise, the latter lauding the Nobel Committee's "surprising but imaginative choice". But Lech Walesa, the dissident turned Polish President, who won the Peace Prize in 1983, spoke for many, declaring: "So soon? Too early. He has no contribution so far". Mr Obama's domestic critics leapt on the award as evidence of foreigners fawning over an untested "celebrity" leader. Rush Limbaugh, the US right-wing commentator, said: "This fully exposes the illusion that is Barack Obama".

Speaking later, Mr Obama said that he was "surprised and deeply humbled" by the unexpected decision and announced that he would donate the £880,000 prize, due to be awarded in December, to charity. "Let me be clear. I do not view it as recognition of my own accomplishments but rather as an affirmation of American leadership on behalf of aspirations held by people in all nations," he said.

The Nobel Peace Prize is a notoriously difficult award to predict, but yesterday's decision was clearly a political choice, with three of the past six peace awards going to Bush adversaries. In 2002 the prize went to Jimmy Carter as an explicit rejection of the Bush presidency in the build-up to the Iraq war. In 2005 Mohamed ElBaradei, the UN atomic agency chief who had clashed with Washington over the search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, was honoured. In 2007 Al Gore received the prize for his warnings on climate change, denounced by President Bush as a liberal myth. The award is also an example of what Nobel scholars call the growing aspirational trend of Nobel committees over the past three decades, by which awards are given not for what has been achieved but in support of the cause being fought for. Thorbjørn Jagland, the committee chairman, made clear that this year's prize fell in that category. "If you look at the history of the Peace Prize, we have on many occasions given it to try to enhance what many personalities were trying to do", he said. "It could be too late to respond three years from now." But Bobby Muller, who won the Nobel Prize as co-founder of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, told The Times: "I don't have the highest regard for the thinking or process of the Nobel committee. Maybe Norway should give it to Sweden so they can more properly handle the Peace Prize along with all the other Nobel prizes."

Ayers admits writing Obama's book "Dreams From My Father"?
by James Simpson, American Thinker, Oct 7, 2009
Last Friday we posted an article on these pages asserting Bill Ayers' authorship of President Barack Obama's 'Dreams From My Father', based on claims made by Obama biographer Christopher Andersen. It is possible that we have now gotten direct confirmation of this from Bill Ayers himself. Anne Leary of Back Yard Conservative was passing through Washington, DC's Reagan National Airport yesterday, and was surprised to come across Bill Ayers at Starbucks: "scruffy, thinning beard, dippy earring, and the wire rims, heading to order." She struck up a conversation with him and snapped a photo. Ayers was in Washington, he told her, for a conference on education. "That's what I do, education," he said. "You shouldn't believe everything you hear about me... You know nothing about me." To which she responded, "I said, I know plenty -- I'm from Chicago, a conservative blogger, and I'll post this." I bet his heart skipped a beat on that one. But he didn't scowl, and didn't run off as he has been known to do. Instead, unprompted, he blurted out: "I wrote ‘Dreams From My Father'... Michelle asked me to." Then he added "And if you can prove it we can split the royalties." Anne responded, "Stop pulling my leg!" But he repeated insistently, "I wrote it, the wording was similar [to Ayers' other writing.]" Anne responded, "I believe you probably heavily edited it." Ayers stated firmly, "I wrote it". Anne ended the conversation by saying "Why would I believe you? You're a liar." Good for her. But we are left to wonder. Despite her parting shot, Anne was convinced Ayers was in earnest. He was making a public statement. He wanted this news out there.

Was he, as she had asked, pulling our collective legs? Other sources report rumors that Ayers is very upset both about not getting any credit for helping Obama on ‘Dreams', and may also be put off by being summarily thrown under the bus along with Rev. Wright and everyone else who becomes an inconvenience to this President. My understanding of communists is that most would know better and keep their mouths shut. But Ayers is a bit different. He is, as he says, a "small 'c' communist", but he is also, in a certain, slimy way, an entrepreneur, as we explained in Monday's post. (Apologies in advance to entrepreneurs everywhere.) He grew up a very rich kid, used to getting everything he wanted. Even as an adult his career has relied on a hand up from his wealthy father. His past statements and radical activities also mark him as a megalomaniac. In youth he drew attention to himself by blowing things up. As an adult "educator" he merely attempts to subvert children. But that doesn't seem to be going so well. He is under a lot of pressure, too. Ayers and his horrid wife Bernardine Dohrn are believed to have planned and executed the San Francisco Park Police Station bombing in 1970 that killed police sergeant Brian V. McDonnell and wounded several others. Efforts to bring them to justice have been underway for some time, as brought to light this past March in a National Press Club conference put on by Cliff Kincaid of America's Survival. Cliff's guests included Larry Grathwohl, the FBI's undercover agent who penetrated Ayers' Weather Underground and produced this stunning testimony about Ayers' plan to massacre 25 million Americans, retired S.F. policeman James Pera, first on the scene at the bombing, and veteran researcher Trevor Loudon. Now, a recent exposé by San Francisco reporter Peter Jamison has revealed additional evidence, including testimony from other Weather Underground members, that Dohrn planted the bomb that killed Sgt. McDonnell. Maybe in his overstressed state Bill's megalomania has just gotten the better of him.

Ayers ghostwrote Obama's 'Dreams' and media silence is deafening
by James Simpson, Examiner, Oct 1, 2009
Perhaps one of the biggest political stories of the year is being completely overlooked by the Obama-struck mass media. A new biography by veteran author Christopher Andersen, "Barack and Michelle: Portrait of a Marriage", reveals that former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers wrote most, if not all of President Obama’s book "Dreams From My Father". In a series of American Thinker articles over the past year, PhD author and columnist, Jack Cashill has been asserting just that. But while he found striking similarities between the two men’s writing styles he could never conclusively prove Ayers' ghost authorship. Andersen’s book does. Cashill relates: "relying on inside sources, quite possibly Michelle Obama herself, Andersen describes how Dreams came to be published -- just as I had envisioned it in my articles on the authorship of Dreams. "With the deadline pressing, Michelle recommended that Barack seek advice from 'his friend and Hyde Park neighbor Bill Ayers'. Despite a large advance, Obama found himself 'hopelessly blocked.’ After four futile years of trying to finish, Obama ‘sought advice from his friend and Hyde Park neighbor Bill Ayers.' This he did 'at Michelle’s urging.'" Andersen explains their rationale: "Everyone knew they were friends and that they worked on various projects together. It was no secret. Why would it be?" I don't know, but it was certainly considered a secret by candidate Obama, and the media bent over backwards to keep it that way.

This was not the first time Mr. Obama was "blocked" either. Shortly after he was elected the first black president of the Harvard Law Review, an aggressive literary agent named Jane Dystel secured a $125,000 advance from Simon & Schuster for him to write his book. An astounding sum for a first-time author, he never delivered. After years of waiting, the publisher dropped him. Dystel then secured him a second advance for $40,000 from Random House, and in 1995 "Dreams" was finally published. After gaining his U.S. Senate seat, Mr. Obama summarily dumped Dystel in favor of someone cheaper. She was understandibly infuriated. It is worth noting that as president of the Harvard Law Review, Mr. Obama wrote one short article. For such a supposedly gifted writer this is truly odd. And as Cashill has noted, Obama's few other writing samples are "sophomoric". Furthermore, "president" of the Law Review is not the same as "editor" of the Law Review. Being editor requires a commanding knowledge of both writing skills and law. It is a very demanding job. Being president, on the other hand, is more of a figurehead position.

Andersen concludes: "In the end, Ayers's contribution to Barack's Dreams From My Father would be significant -- so much so that the book's language, oddly specific references, literary devices, and themes would bear a jarring similarity to Ayers's own writing". During his campaign, candidate Obama took great pains to distance himself from Ayers, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and the many other radicals he knew. But investigation by many independent journalists overcame the media blackout to reveal extensive connections between the two men. It is old news now that Ayers and Obama served on the boards of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge and the Woods Fund together, but in total, Obama worked with Ayers and other radicals on least six related non-profit boards and shared the same office for three years with Ayers and fellow radicals, Susan and Mike Klonsky. Now this latest revelation about Ayers' ghostwriting suggests that not only did they work together, but Ayers essentially gave Obama his voice. All this has somehow been lost on mass media's intrepid investigative journalists. Nary a peep.

Barack Obama is no literary giant. Furthermore, his steadfast refusal to provide any concrete information about any details of his past, his college grades, past job performance, or even voting record in the Illinois Senate, makes one wonder if Mr. Obama has any qualifications -- besides a polished public persona -- at all. He is looking more and more like a mere construct, a carefully crafted mouthpiece for a cabal of anonymous radicals furiously working to secure a permanent foothold in the halls of power. Consider just a few of his "Czar" picks: Kevin Jennings the openly homosexual "Safe Schools Czar" who encouraged pedophilia; Cass Sunstein, the "Regulatory Czar" who believes, among other things, that animals should have the right to sue humans in court; Van Jones, like Ayers, a self-described communist, fortunately resigned under a cloud. As "Green Jobs Czar," Jones was to distribute stimulus money based on formulas worked up by the Apollo Alliance, run in NY by Jeff Jones. No relation to Van, Jeff is an old Weather Underground friend of Bill Ayers. Valerie Jarrett -- the "other side of Obama’s brain", -- has spent a lifetime working with and around the American Communist Party and is thoroughly plugged-in to Chicago radical networks. Valerie is the one who recruited Van Jones. The list goes on and on. The challenge is finding anyone even remotely moderate. Obama’s early denial of Ayers is ringing ever hollower. Rather than being just "some guy in my neighborhood," Ayers and Obama are fused at the hip. And Ayers is typical of the rabid, anti-American lunatics Barack has surrounded himself with. Meanwhile, the media silence is deafening. God help us.

Obama orders air strikes on Pakistan villages in tribal area. Guardian, Jan 24, 2009
Barack Obama gave the go-ahead for his first military action yesterday, missile strikes against suspected militants in Pakistan which killed at least 18 people. Four days after assuming the presidency, he was consulted by US commanders before they launched the two attacks....Obama has warned that he is prepared to bomb inside Pakistan if he gets relevant intelligence about the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden. He had also said he would act against militants along the border if the Pakistan government failed to. The US missiles were fired by unmanned Predator drones, which hang in the sky gathering intelligence through surveillance and, when commanded and directed by remote control, to launch attacks. The strikes will help Obama portray himself as a leader who, though ready to shift the balance of American power towards diplomacy, is not afraid of military action....
